The Museum of Ancient art closes on 1 April 2004The museum will close from 1 April because of work on the floor in the exhibition area. New EntranceIn 1994,
part of the Jubilee Fund of the Aarhus University Research Foundation was made
available to finance the plans for renovating the Museum of Ancient Art. A
working group was established, and in 1995 it was able to present a prospectus
for the total renovation of the museum, including a new entrance and a new
arrangement of the collection. This prospectus has now been updated and is
available in a new version on this web site. Prospectus for the renovation of the museum in Danish Thanks to a grant from the Aarhus University Research Foundation, it has been possible to realise the first phase of the renovation project, and a new entrance area was made during summer and autumn 2003. At the moment work is carried out on a new exhibition area showing art from Archaic Greece.
